What Does Frac Sand Hauling Entail?

Frac sand plays a vital role in the fracking process, which involves fracturing shale to release oil, natural gas, and associated liquids from pores in the rock. Water is released in a high-pressure stream to force the small pores to become larger fractures; when the water stream is turned off, frac sand is then used to hold the fractures open so that the rock continues to release its fossil fuels. As a key element of this program, drivers are held accountable for operating their vehicles and performing all assigned duties in accordance with the program and all applicable regulations. Safety meetings are held monthly to reinforce compliance and eliminate complacency both on the well site and on the road.
